Child’s Play Productions
was born out of a Mother’s prayer for an opportunity to be a stay-at-home Mom. God answered in a very exciting way with a children’s outreach ministry as well! Our Children’s Personalized Tape, "God Loves Me", is the result of answered prayer and a belief that, "I can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens me." (Philippians 4:13)About Our Goal:
To make God’s Love, through scripture verses, personal and real to children. Our desire is to help children "hide the word of God in their hearts." (Psalm 119:11) We’re especially eager to get the cassette into the tape players of children who do not know of God and His love for them.
About "The Mom":
Alison lives in Michigan with her husband and three girls ages 14, 11 & 9. They are very active in their Church’s music program as well as ministering in other churches and community children's programs. The girls’ voices and laughter enhance several songs.
After the birth of their first child, Alison had a strong desire to stay at home and watch her daughter grow (something this career-minded woman never thought she'd have!) When the second baby was on the way, she was laid off her job, which led to a perfect opportunity to do computer consulting from home. This was great until the software she worked with became obsolete. Knowing she would soon be without consulting work, Alison prayed for another opportunity to continue working at home. She did not want to go back to working outside the home (with three girls now) and began praying for an opportunity which would enable her to be at home, but to make a difference in people's lives as well.
Alison always enjoyed making up and singing songs for her girls. One day, while singing a song to her youngest she was trying to make up a rhyme for her name within the song, and the idea hit her. She had never heard a personalized cassette with a Christian emphasis and thought it would be a great idea. How important it is for us to know that God loves us and knows us and is there for us personally! Her minister always told of how he liked to put his name within scripture verses as it made them so much more personal for him. So that is what we try to do through these tapes!
